Goldenrain Tree
Koelreuteria paniculata

The Goldenrain Tree is one of the few trees available to the gardener that produces yellow flowers. It also makes conspicuous fruits. The tree grows easily and well in a wide variety of soils. The Goldenrain Tree is a native of China, Korea and Japan. It was introduced for its ornamental qualities into North America about 1763. Landscapers use this tree very much in the Ohio Valley, including Ohio, sometimes planting it as a street tree.
