Also called Agate Basin points

Long, slender points with very regular horizontal, parallel-sided flake scars across the surface

Blade edges vary from parallel to slightly excurvate, but taper to the base

Biconvex cross-section

Base straight or slightly concave

Blade edges usually ground smooth along lower third of the specimen

Bases often not ground

Size: Up to 5½-6 inches long, average around 3 inches long

Late Paleoindian ca. 8500-8000 BC
