Big Sandy Points

Narrow, triangular blade, sometimes resharpened forming beveled or serrated edges

Side notches relatively wide and shallow

Basal ears usually squared

Base usually thinned; basal edge varies from straight to concave

Basal edge and notches often ground smooth

Size: 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 inches long

Early Archaic: ca. 8000-6000 BC
