In the event that an OPLIN participant as defined by O.R.C. 3375.64(B)(1) merges or consolidates operations with another OPLIN participant and is no longer governed by an independent board of trustees, that entity will no longer qualify as an OPLIN participant and the OPLIN-provided Internet connection must be terminated. In order to allow time for a transition to a new Internet connection, however, OPLIN will maintain the existing connection for a period of 90 days after the effective date of the merger or consolidation.

The Ohio Public Library Information Network's (OPLIN) 2010 Stakeholders meeting will be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am on Friday, September 10 at the Ohio Expo Center's Lausche Building as part of the Ohio Library Council Expo. This is our annual report to Ohio public libraries (our "stakeholders") where we review what has happened over the past year and take a peek at the future of the network. Everyone is welcome to attend. Afterward, please stop by booth 717 at the Expo and chat with us!
OPLIN offers a free service that allows libraries to send notification messages directly to patrons' cellphones via standard Short Message Service (SMS) "text messages" instead of sending messages to their email accounts.
