Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps
What is it? Large scale street plans - including building outlines, property boundaries, and building use - produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance Company from 1867 to 1970.
Why use it? Locate buildings and neighborhoods. See a neighborhood "as it was." Study the growth of towns and cities. Identify the impact of new developments.
Those of you who have OPLIN-provided equipment that is no longer in use and wish to return it to state surplus can send the equipment back to OPLIN whenever OPLIN announces equipment return periods (generally twice each year).
U.S. Cargo can ship computer equipment for you, but it is not part of the statewide library materials contract.
Rates:
The equipment MUST travel on a Bill of Lading for insurance coverage. Standard coverage is $100 per shipment. Drivers can supply the Bill of Lading at the time of pickup, or you can request blank BOLs when you arrange for pickup.
Fill out the form at the Ohio Libraries Share: More website. In the "Description of Service Issue" box, indicate that this is for the transport of computers, and provide the date the equipment will be ready for pickup.
Mark the boxes to go to:
